Dear Sis, love your creations of the classroom. I am Salihah residing in Singapore.I looking into creating activities that are in the math, language and arts corner.As my students are 5 year olds K1 and they are on a project on 'The hungry caterpilar' base on the storybook that they like. Could you give me idea.

Hi, thank you for the lovely compliment. I apologise for the late reply but it's only now that i had the time to revisit my blog :(
ReplyDeleteThe Hungry caterpillar is indeed, a great springboard that'll get those creative neurons running. I haven't used it , myself....but here are some personal ideas and some which I gleaned from my co-workers:
a) making caterpillars made of egg cartons and pipe cleaners
b) taking picture of every child holding a stage of the butterfly life cycle which the child has designed
c.) making cocoons out of clay/ playdough/ plaster of paris
d) fashioning 3d objects (paper mache) of the elements found in the story
e.) remaking the ending of the story
f) making a mobile of the story
and a whole lot more....
